I started my indoor plant journey about five years ago with a single pothos cutting a friend gave me. I was living in a small apartment with barely any natural light, and honestly, I had zero confidence that I could keep anything alive. But that little pothos thrived. Then I got a snake plant. Then a ZZ plant. And before I knew it, I had over 20 plants scattered around my apartment.

Why I Started This Blog

The thing is, when I was getting started, I spent hours researching basic stuff — “how often do I water this?” or “is this pot even good?” — and I found that most plant advice online was either too technical, too vague, or just trying to sell me expensive products I didn’t need.

I wanted to create the resource I wish I had when I was starting out. One that’s:

  • Straightforward — no jargon, no overwhelming Latin names, just clear advice
  • Honest — if a product works, I’ll tell you. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that too
  • Practical — tips that actually work in real apartments with real (sometimes terrible) light conditions
